We Are A vehicle preservation and protection company
1. Introduction and Scope
Ecotech Detailing (“Ecotech Detailing,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a mobile and on-site car detailing business based in St. Augustine, Florida. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal information you share with us.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, how we protect it, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to our website at [WEBSITE URL] (the “Site”), any online booking, quote, or contact forms on the Site, and any communications you have with us by email, phone, or text message (together, the “Services”).
This Policy does not apply to information collected offline except where we combine it with information collected through the Services, or to third-party websites and services that we do not own or control.
By using the Site or providing us with information, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the Site. This Policy should be read together with our Terms of Service, if any, posted on the Site.
Effective date: [October 27, 2027]
2. Information We Collect
We collect only the information reasonably necessary to provide, schedule, and improve our detailing services. We collect it in three ways: directly from you, automatically when you use the Site, and from third parties.
2.1 Information you provide directly

Please do not send us sensitive information, such as Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, health information, or financial account passwords, through the Site, email, or text message.
2.2 Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect:
- Device and browser data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, and language settings.
- Usage data: pages viewed, links clicked, time spent on pages, referring website, and the date and time of your visit.
- Approximate location: general location (such as city or region) derived from your IP address. We do not collect precise GPS location through the Site unless you choose to share it.
- Cookie and similar technology data: as described in Section 4.
2.3 Information from third parties
We may receive information about you from:
- Booking, scheduling, and payment platforms we use to manage appointments and transactions.
- Review and social media platforms (such as Google, Facebook, Instagram, or Yelp) when you interact with our pages, leave a review, or message us there.
- Analytics and advertising providers that report how visitors find and use the Site.
- Referral sources, such as a friend, dealership, or business partner who refers you to us.
We may combine this information with information we collect directly from you.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use personal information for the following purposes:
- Providing services: preparing quotes, scheduling and confirming appointments, traveling to your service location, performing detailing, ceramic coating, paint correction, or other requested services, and following up afterward.
- Payments and records: processing deposits, payments, refunds, and invoices, and keeping accounting and tax records.
- Customer communication: responding to inquiries, sending appointment reminders and service updates, and providing customer support.
- Marketing (with your permission where required): sending promotions, seasonal offers, maintenance reminders, and newsletters. You can opt out at any time (see Section 6).
- Improving the Site and Services: analyzing traffic and usage, measuring the effectiveness of our advertising, and developing new services.
- Before-and-after photos: documenting vehicle condition before and after service for quality control and to resolve disputes. We will not use photos that identify you, your license plate, or your home in public marketing without your consent, and we will blur or crop identifying details when we use them.
- Safety, security, and fraud prevention: protecting the Site, our business, our staff, and our customers, and detecting and preventing fraudulent or illegal activity.
- Legal compliance: complying with applicable laws, regulations, legal process, and requests from government authorities, and enforcing our terms and agreements.
- Hiring: evaluating job applications if you apply to work with us.
We may also use information that has been aggregated or de-identified so that it no longer reasonably identifies you. We will not attempt to re-identify such information except as permitted by law.
4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
The Site uses cookies, pixels, web beacons, and similar technologies. A cookie is a small text file stored on your device that helps a website recognize you and remember your preferences.
| Type | Purpose | Examples |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Make the Site and booking forms work; maintain security | Session cookies, form and spam-protection cookies (e.g., reCAPTCHA) |
| Functional | Remember your preferences and form entries | Language, saved form fields |
| Analytics | Understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it | Google Analytics |
| Advertising | Measure ads and show relevant ads on other sites | Google Ads, Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel |
Third-party analytics. We use Google Analytics to collect information about Site use. Google’s use of this information is governed by its Privacy Policy. You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Interest-based advertising. Our advertising partners may use cookies to show you ads for Ecotech Detailing on other websites based on your visits to the Site. You can opt out of interest-based ads through the Digital Advertising Alliance, the Network Advertising Initiative, and your Google and Meta ad settings.
Managing cookies. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, some parts of the Site, such as online booking, may not work properly.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Some browsers send “Do Not Track” signals. Because there is no consistent industry standard, the Site does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals. Where required by applicable law, we will honor recognized opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control (GPC).
Embedded content. The Site may include embedded maps, videos, reviews, or social media feeds (for example, Google Maps or YouTube). These providers may collect information about you under their own privacy policies.
5. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not sell sensitive personal data. We do not rent or trade your information to third parties for their own marketing. We share personal information only as described below.
- Service providers. We share information with vendors who help us run our business, such as website hosting, online booking and scheduling, payment processing, email and text messaging platforms, customer relationship management (CRM) software, analytics, accounting, and IT support. They may use your information only to perform services for us and must protect it.
- Staff and subcontractors. Detailing technicians, including any independent contractors, receive the information needed to complete your appointment, such as your name, phone number, service address, and vehicle details.
- Advertising and analytics partners. As described in Section 4, these partners may collect information through cookies and similar technologies on the Site.
- Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that it is necessary to comply with the law, a subpoena, court order, or other legal process; to respond to lawful requests from public authorities; to protect the rights, property, or safety of Ecotech Detailing, our customers, staff, or others; or to investigate fraud or security issues.
- Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of all or part of our business or assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. The recipient will be required to honor this Privacy Policy for the information transferred.
- With your consent. We may share information for any other purpose with your consent or at your direction, such as when you ask us to coordinate with your dealership, fleet manager, or insurer.
We may share aggregated or de-identified information that does not reasonably identify you for any lawful purpose.
6. Email, Text Message, and Phone Communications
Email. If you book a service or sign up for our mailing list, we may send you transactional emails (such as confirmations, receipts, and reminders) and, if you opt in, marketing emails. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, consistent with the federal CAN-SPAM Act. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop transactional messages about services you have booked.
Text messages (SMS/MMS). If you provide your mobile number and agree to receive texts, we may send appointment confirmations, reminders, arrival notices, service updates, and, only with your separate express written consent, promotional messages. By consenting, you agree to receive recurring automated text messages from Ecotech Detailing at the number you provided. Consent to marketing texts is not a condition of any purchase.
- Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to opt out at any time. Reply HELP for help, or contact us using the details in Section 12.
- After you reply STOP, we will send one final message confirming your opt-out.
- Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties, except service providers that help us deliver messages (such as our SMS platform), which may not use the information for their own purposes.
Phone calls. We may call you about quotes, appointments, or services you have requested. We comply with the federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and the Florida Telephone Solicitation Act (Fla. Stat. § 501.059), and we honor requests to be placed on our internal do-not-call list. Calls may be recorded for quality and training purposes where permitted by law, and we will tell you if a call is recorded.
Opting out. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time by clicking “unsubscribe,” replying STOP to a text, or contacting us directly. We will process opt-out requests promptly and within the time required by law.
7. Data Retention, Security, and Breach Notification
Retention. We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to provide services, maintain customer and warranty records (for example, for ceramic coating warranties), resolve disputes, and meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations. In general:
- Customer and service records are kept for up to [7] years after your last service.
- Marketing contact information is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
- Website analytics data is kept according to our analytics providers’ retention settings, typically [14–26] months.
- Job application materials are kept for up to [2] years.
When information is no longer needed, we securely delete, destroy, or de-identify it, consistent with Florida law requiring the disposal of customer records containing personal information.
Security. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These include encrypted (HTTPS/SSL) connections on the Site, PCI-compliant payment processors, password-protected accounts with limited staff access, and service providers bound by confidentiality obligations. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Breach notification. If a breach of security affects your personal information, we will notify you and, where required, the Florida Department of Legal Affairs and other authorities, as required by the Florida Information Protection Act of 2014 (Fla. Stat. § 501.171) and other applicable laws. Under Florida law, notice to affected individuals is generally provided no later than 30 days after a breach is determined or reason to believe a breach occurred.
8. Your Privacy Rights and Choices
You may make the following requests regarding personal information we hold about you:
- Access: ask what personal information we have about you and request a copy.
- Correction: ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Deletion: ask us to delete your personal information, subject to legal exceptions (for example, records we must keep for tax purposes, warranty obligations, or open disputes).
- Opt out of marketing: unsubscribe from emails, reply STOP to texts, or ask us to stop calling.
- Opt out of targeted advertising: use the tools in Section 4 or contact us.
How to make a request. Email us at [EMAIL ADDRESS] or call [PHONE NUMBER] with the subject “Privacy Request.” To protect your information, we will verify your identity before acting, usually by matching details you provide with our records. You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf, but we may require proof of the agent’s authority. We will respond within 45 days, or sooner if required by law, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
Florida residents. Florida’s Digital Bill of Rights (Fla. Stat. §§ 501.701–501.721) applies only to businesses meeting certain thresholds, including more than $1 billion in annual gross revenue, and Ecotech Detailing does not currently meet those thresholds. Even so, we offer the rights above to all customers voluntarily, and we do not sell sensitive personal data, consistent with Florida’s requirements for small businesses.
Residents of other states. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state’s privacy laws. Where those laws apply to us, we will honor your requests as required. Contact us to make a request.
9. Children’s Privacy
The Site and our Services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, consistent with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Bookings must be made by someone 18 or older. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
10. Third-Party Links and Services
The Site may link to third-party websites, apps, and services, such as booking platforms, payment pages, review sites, and social media. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third parties. We encourage you to read their privacy policies before providing them with information.

We will post the updated Policy on this page and change the “Last updated” date at the top. If we make material changes, we will provide additional notice, such as a notice on the Site or an email. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
