Paint Correction Process
Paint correction is a meticulous, multi-step process designed to restore your vehicle’s finish to a deep, flawless shine. Over time, paint surfaces can develop imperfections such as swirl marks, light scratches, water spots, and oxidation. Our professional correction service carefully removes these defects through precision techniques and professional-grade products.
Step 1: Thorough Wash & Decontamination
The process begins with a deep exterior wash to remove dirt, grime, and road film. We then perform a clay bar treatment to lift embedded contaminants such as tar, sap, and brake dust from the paint surface, ensuring a clean foundation for correction.
Step 2: Paint Inspection & Evaluation
Using specialized lighting and paint depth gauges, we inspect the vehicle’s paint to identify swirl marks, oxidation, and scratches. This evaluation helps determine the level of correction needed—whether light polishing or full multi-stage compounding.
Step 3: Compounding (Defect Removal)
A professional-grade compound and machine polisher are used to level the clear coat and remove deeper imperfections. This step effectively eliminates most visible scratches, heavy swirl marks, and surface oxidation.
Step 4: Polishing (Refinement & Clarity)
Next, a fine polish is applied to refine the surface and enhance gloss. This step restores clarity, depth, and mirror-like reflection, leaving the paint silky smooth and rejuvenated.
Step 5: Optional Wet Sanding (Severe Defect Correction)
For heavily damaged or neglected paint, wet sanding may be used to remove more serious imperfections or texture irregularities. This advanced technique is performed only when necessary and followed by polishing to restore full gloss.
Step 6: Final Cleaning & Protection
Once correction is complete, all polishing oils are removed, and a paint sealant, wax, or ceramic coating is applied to protect the finish. This protective layer helps preserve the newly restored shine and shields the paint from UV rays, oxidation, and contaminants.
